Red Hot Chili Peppers - Stadium Arcadium

In 1983 Anthony Kiedis (vocals), Michael Balzary, alias „Flea“ (bass), Hillel Slovak (guitar) und drummer Jack Irons grounded the band Red Hot Chili Peppers (RHCP). A crossover of funk, rock, punk and rap music characterizes the band’s musical genre. In 1991 RHCP made its breakthrough with the album “Blood Sugar Sex Magik”. Moreover they gained worldwide success with “Californication” or “By The Way”. In the history of the Red Hot Chili Peppers the band has had a lot of ups and downs. Frequent changes of its members and drug abuse put the band to an acid test. In fact the band broke up after the death of co-grounder Hillel Slovak. The Red Hot Chili Peppers re-started when John Frusciante (guitar) and Chad Smith (drums) joined the band.

The band’s newest album “Stadium Arcadium” was produced by Rick Rubin. The music producer also brought out the RHCP albums „Blood Sugar Sex Magik“ (1991), „One Hot Minute“ (1995), „Californication“ (1999) and „By The Way“ (2002). Rubin belongs to the most popular producers of the music industry. He is also responsible for productions of Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Justin Timberlake, the Beastie Boys or the Dixie Chicks. In 2007 Rubin won a Grammy Award as „Producer Of The Year“ for “Stadium Arcadium”.
